Trailers can be the most stressful obstacle for us and our horses. In this course I walk you through the ground exercises I use to prepare my horses for trailer loading along with case studies from other horses I have helped overcome their trailer issues. What you learn in this course is focused on preparing your horse for the trailer, but it will also improve your overall connection with your horse.
Learn my five core exercises to improve your timing for applying and releasing pressure while improving your horse's coordination and confidence. Transition what you and your horse master with the ground exercises into success loading onto the trailer, plus learn how to teach your horse to self load, remain relaxed on the trailer without rushing back off before the doors are closed and how to unload calmly.
My training philosophy relies on establishing a strong connection through ground work and desensitization to result in a greater working relationship under saddle.
Although I have experience working with several breeds, I especially enjoy focusing on off track Thoroughbreds with an even more specific passion for OTTB mares.
